TaskBridge is conducting a comprehensive technical assessment to design floodwater management and water storage solutions for communities in Luglow and Gobweyn, Kismayo. The assessment integrates local topography analysis, water flow dynamics, and evaluation of existing water catchments to enhance sustainable water management and flood risk reduction.
It involves hydrological and hydraulic assessments, institutional capacity evaluation, and infrastructure feasibility studies to ensure efficient water retention, improved climate resilience, and long-term water security for vulnerable communities. Findings from this ongoing assessment will inform data-driven recommendations for flood mitigation and water storage interventions tailored to the local context.
